Yoga FAQ
I'm new to yoga. Where should I start?
Welcome! We recommend starting with beginner-friendly or gentle classes. Look for titles like “Intro to Yoga,” “Gentle Flow,” or “Restorative Yoga.” Let your teacher know you’re new so they can offer extra support.
How often should I practice yoga?

What is yoga nidra, and how is it different from meditation?
Yoga nidra is a guided, deeply relaxing practice often called “yogic sleep.” It brings you into a restful state between waking and sleep. Unlike traditional seated meditation, you’ll lie down and be led through the experience.
What should I bring to class?
A yoga mat, water bottle, and an open mind! Some classes may require props like blocks or straps. If you don’t have them, check to see if they’re provided or available to borrow.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you to move freely. No need for shoes—yoga is practiced barefoot.
Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?
Not at all! Yoga helps build flexibility, strength, and balance over time. Come as you are—every body is welcome.
What if I have an injury or medical condition?
Please let your instructor know before class so they can offer modifications. Always consult your doctor if you're unsure whether yoga is right for your condition.
What styles of yoga do you offer?
We offer a variety, including restorative, vinyasa, breathwork, meditation, and more. Each class description will let you know what to expect.
Can I do yoga if I'm pregnant?
Yes, with your healthcare provider’s approval. Prenatal yoga or modified gentle classes can be a great choice. Let your instructor know you're expecting so they can offer safe options.
What if I can't keep up during class?
That’s okay! Yoga is not about perfection—it's about presence. Rest when needed and listen to your body. You’re always welcome to take child’s pose or pause when needed.
